About Us

LAWRENCE A. BASKIN has been in practice for over 40 years in Marin County. He is a founding partner of Krause, Baskin, Timan, Shell & Grant, until 2010 Krause & Baskin and now Lawrence A. Baskin, Attorney & Mediator at Law. He is experienced in the areas of Real Estate Law; Construction Defect Litigation; Transactional; and Business Law, including formation of business entities and ongoing business counseling. He acts as General Counsel to many Corporations and Limited Liability Companies (LLC’s); Real Estate Development Companies; brokers and agents; general contractors; manufacturers; e-commerce, and service providers. Mr. Baskin has been active in the Marin County Bar Association, including being an active member of the Board of Directors.  He is a Past-President, having served as President in 2001 and Treasurer in 2000.  He is currently serving the Board of Directors in the capacity of a 5-year Past President.  He has served as a Judge Pro-Tem and Settlement Panelist for the Marin County Courts, and has been a member of the Client Relations Committee for 16 years arbitrating attorney-client fee disputes.

For over ten years, Mr. Baskin has been active as a mediator in the fields of business, real estate, and construction defect litigation.  Mr. Baskin is a “hands on” mediator who brings his many years of practice and litigation experience to the mediation process. JEREMY PAUL is the firm’s Senior Paralegal (Legal Assistant) and has been with the firm for over 22 years.  He has extensive experience in all aspects of the firm’s practice areas and provides legal support for the firm’s business and corporate clients, as well as providing litigation support for construction defect, real estate and business actions.
